▸ Quality & safety

We independently lab-test every TanTrap batch. You can view the certificate of analysis for this product — it confirms exactly what’s in the bottle (5ml at 2mg per ml total = 10mgs) and its purity. Most brands in this space can’t show you that.

Made in the UK. Store as directed on the packaging (e.g. 2–5°C, away from heat and direct sunlight — confirm against your label). Keep out of reach of children. Always follow the dosage guidance and never exceed the recommended dose.

▸ How it works

TanTrap works with your body’s own tanning process rather than sitting on top of it. Its active peptide stimulates the melanocytes in your skin—the cells that produce melanin, the pigment that gives skin its colour. With melanin production dialled up, your skin can develop a deeper, richer tan from the same UV exposure. In short: it doesn’t colour your skin — it helps your skin colour itself.

▸ How to use it

Measure out 0.5ml each morning using the pipette supplied.  Allow to dissolve under the tongue.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

TanTrap is a tanning accelerator, so use it alongside your usual sun or sunbed exposure — it boosts the tan you build; it isn’t a replacement for UV.

▸ How it’s different from fake tan

Fake tan sits on the surface—it stains the top layer of skin, can streak or go patchy, washes off, and never quite looks real. TanTrap is completely different: no colour goes onto your skin. Instead, it prompts your skin to produce more melanin, so the tan develops naturally and evenly from within—the same way a real tan does, just faster and deeper. No orange palms, no streaks, no wash-off on your bedsheets.

▸ What to expect

Everyone’s skin is different, so results depend on your skin type and how much UV exposure you get.

Melanin Max Platinum is for more advanced users and isn’t recommended for beginners (for more information, see the detailed user guide included with purchase).

As a rule, fairer skin types build colour more gradually; darker skin types tend to see it sooner. Consistency matters most — used regularly alongside your normal tanning routine, the effect builds over time.

    Be using this now for a few years a friend started me off with this product the results are amazing. Right the reason for me starting to take these drops. Every time I went in the sun I use to suffer terribly with prickly heat and since using drops I’ve never suffered. Can’t recommend these enough especially if you’re suffering like I did.

    Before dropps was using injections (but had side effects,and yes they were a bit annoying 🙄).
    Since I start using dropps no side effects at all 😍 yes it needs more time to kick in and give that lovely tan, but for me is the best product 💛 love the flavours and very easy to use even if you’re very fussy 😶‍🌫️
